OPINION: Call to re-elect Town Supervisor, board By Barbara Knuth. Town of Caroline Supervisor Mark Witmer and Town Board Members Kate Kelley-Mackenzie and Tim Murray have produced meaningful positive outcomes for Caroline and have earned the opportunity to be re-elected to continue to serve our community.
OPINION: In Support of the Caroline Zoning Law By Don Barber, Former Caroline Town Supervisor. I admit that I was skeptical that zoning could be structured to preserve Caroline’s rural character. I am impressed with the Caroline Zoning law and see it as the pathway to keep what we value in Caroline.
OPINION: Support Responsible Zoning in Caroline By Ellen Harrison. Zoning is the only way to exercise local control of our Town. Without zoning, the highest bidders will decide how our Town develops. The current zoning draft proposes measures to protect our streams and wildlife habitat that are not protected under current federal, state or local laws.
